10+1 Things to do in New York

3. Yoga Island

Yoga Island is actually known as Governors Island. During summer you have the chance to take the free ferry to attend a group yoga session there with thousands of other enthusiastic yogis. The first class starts at 10:00 a.m., the lasts ends at 5:00 p.m.
In my personal opinion it is just an amazing opportunity to escape the New York City traffic and find your inner calmness. Just try it and I promise you won’t regret it!

Decent Pink

Decent Pink

Since I have blonde hair, I find it difficult to include pink clothing in my everyday outfits. The problem is: blonde and pink easily appear tacky, which I most definitely want to avoid. So today I show you my idea of combining different pink shades in a still sophisticated and chic look. The outfit looks even better with your hair in a bun!

Make Up Essentials

These are my latest make up favorites and must haves for this fall. I'm especially in love with shades of brown and gold as well as brighter colors like purple or (navy) blue. What are your favorites for the cold season?

2. The Conservatory Garden

Located at 5th Avenue and 105th Street, this part of Central park is just beautiful. Though they have strict rules for visitors (you are not allowed to bring your dog and the park also has specific opening hours), it is definitely worth your visit. Also you won’t find a lot of other tourists there, as it is fairly isolated from the rest of the park. Several movies have been shot here and I’ve seen a few weddings take place in this area. I especially love the floral garden and the waterspout fountain - they are just unique!

"The Year's Last Smile"

10+1 Things to do in New York

Since I’ve been in New York City several times, I decided to share a few insider tips over the next few weeks. Here is the first of many personal highlights or rather applicable: number one of the things you would NOT want to miss (besides the typical tourist program):

1. Vive La Crêpe

This creperie has the most amazing stuff. It is located on 51 Spring Street between Mulberry and Lafayette Street in the center of SoHo. Shortly they opened up two new shops: one in Greenwich and one in the West Village. This is definitely one of my favorite places to have lunch. Whether you are more of a savory taste lover or you have a sweet tooth: Vive La Crepe has the most unusual combinations. You can actually create your own crepe by choosing the filling. I love my crepe with fresh berries, almonds and cream cheese – it’s simply delicious (and YES, I definitely have a sweet tooth, just in case you wondered)!
