June Favourites

1. Storage boxes
I found these in a cute little discount store in town and thought they would look nice on my dresser. I love love love the floral design and just liked that they look very cute and girly.  I must admit, that at first I was planning of putting some of my makeup or jewelry in it, but it turned out that the round shape isn’t very practical and therefore I just use them as decoration now (which is okay because they were only $5 each).

2. Chanel Bronze Powder
There’s really not a lot to say about this product, except that it is PERFECT for summer, makes your skin glow and is well worth the investment (around $60).

3. Maybelline Liquid Gel Eyeliner
This, my friends, is my current favourite beauty essential. It costs only around $10 and it lasts forever. I would even say that this eyeliner is comparable with high-end eyeliners like the ones from Bobbi Brown or Mac. Only point of criticism: It should come with two brushes because I have a feeling the Gel eyeliner will last longer than the brush will.

4. No Clogs Allowed Facial Mask by Soap & Glory
I really enjoy using this facial mask by soap and glory. I like the mint smell and recommend it especially for the colder seasons because of its self-heating effect. I don’t feel like it really improves the way my skin looks in general, but it’s just a nice product to use on a pampering day and does, indeed, clear your skin ($25).

5. MAC blush summer edition
I am in LOVE with this blush. God knows, I have a weakness for blush in general, especially peachy shades, but this is just such a beautiful color for the summer season. Unfortunately it’s already sold out, but MAC has other very pretty blushes in their regular product line as well ($25).

6. La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo
I’ve read so many reviews about this product and I expected A LOT from it. After using it for two weeks, I must say I’m highly disappointed. A lot of people said it improved their skin permanently, but my skin even got worse (because the lotion dries out your skin). So, this might be a good product for a lot of other people, but it was just no good for me. ($15)

7. Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat
Best concealer ever. Only downside: It’s quite expensive ($40; Thank you, mom! ;) )

8. Rituals Fortune Shower Gel
Sweet Orange and Cedar Wood - yumm! This delicious smelling shower oil turns into foam when you rub it in your hands. No better way to start your day ($10).

Please let me know how you guys liked this (very detailed!) post! :) Hope you have a lovely rest of your day!

A beautiful summer day

Today was the most beautiful day and after a long winter, it seems like the long-awaited summer is finally here. What I wore today: My new favourite trousers from Promod (around $45), Tory Burch flats (since I've bought them years ago, I actually don't remember the price anymore, sorry guys!), a very soft and comfy Primark Blazer ($15 an oversized COS top ($15 on sale) and the Ray Ban Aviator sunglasses (I've bought them 3 years ago and I'm still more than happy to have them). Hope you enjoyed the lovely weather today as much as I did!

Love,

The Body Shop

I used to be a huge fan of The Body Shop back when I was 15, but ever since then, I somehow lost interest in their products. However, this week, me and my friend thought it would be a nice idea to go on a little shopping spree and so we found ourselves in their store for a very, VERY long time. And I must say - I'm in love with The Body Shop once again! Not only do they have great deals ('buy two, get one free'), but the service in the shop is amazing as well. I bought the Rainforest Balance Shampoo ($8 for 250ml) and the Hemp Moisturising Wash (on sale for $3, 250ml). The lovely sales clerk also gave me a sample of the Rainforest Balance conditioner. I'm absolutely in love with all of these products. Since I straighten my hair quite a lot, it tends to be very dry and a little damaged. I've used a lot of different hair products, but I definitely think that this might be one of my favourites. What are your favourite hair products?

Ciaté Nail Caviar

For christmas I treated myself with the Caviar Bar by Ciaté and I love love love this unique, new technique to make your nails look chic (I'm probably not telling you news when I say I'm nail polish obsessed)! Also, the set of four mini nail polishes and four mini caviar bottles was - costing only $22 - quite a bargain. Altogether, I like the caviar best when used only on my ring finger, just because I think it looks not even prettier, but also is a bit more suitable for daily use. Which style do you like better?

February Beauty Favourites

1. World's Best Foot Spa by RITUALS

A set of two luxury examples consisting of a foot scrub and foot balm - makes your feet super soft and helps to turn your bathroom into your very own Avurveda spa (around $7).

 2. 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor by AUSSIE

This conditioner was part of my february Glossybox and I must say I am beyond surprised! Since I straighten my hair quite a lot these days, it always feels a little dry and damaged, but after using this (TRULY) miracle reconstructor, I could instantly feel a difference (around $10).

 3. Sugar Crush Body Scrub by Soap&Glory

Brown sugar, lime, almond oil and macadamia - I must say I am quite a bit obsessed with the Sugar Crush Body Scrub by Soap&Glory. It makes your skin feel super soft and gives it exactly what it needs during the cold winter season. Also it promises to make your skin smell like Dylan's Candy bar (around $10).

4. Scrub Your Nose In It by Soap&Glory

Face scrub with a hint of mint (getting my rhyming on right here ;) - around $10)

5. Bottega Venetta Eau de Parfum

This has been my favourite perfume ever since I first found it. I just find that it has something unique to it. Although it is quite expensive (around $70/30ml), it is definitely worth the purchase. I've never been asked more often (especially by men!) which fragrance I'm wearing!

 6. Collagen & Aloe Vera Hydro Eye-Pads by être belle

Perfect to give your eyes a little timeout after a long, stressful day (around $25 for 7 eye-pads).

7.  Orofluido Hair Oil

Another beauty product for dry and damaged hair - I put a tiny little bit of this oil into the dry ends of my hair everyday (around $22).

 8. Hand Sanitizers by Bath & Body Works

Seasonal hand sanitizers to carry around in your pocket ($5 for 5). My absolute favourite is the Winter Spice & Vanilla sanitizer, which just smells like fresh baked cookies - YUMM.

 9. Perfect Face Makeup Fixing Spray by P2

This was quite a spur of the moment purchase and probably my best bargain in february. I thought I should give it a try because when I have a busy day and no time to retouch my makeup, this spray is perfect to make everything last longer. Also, it's only $4!

What was your favourite beauty product in february?

HAPPY NEW YEAR + beauty news

A HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

I hope everyone had a great start into 2013 and is ready for this year's fashion trends! I've already found a new beauty favourite for this year: the Urban Decay Naked Palette. Celebrities like the Kardashians are well known lovers of the eyeshadow palette. The palette includes mostly brown shades and is exactly what I love for my everyday makeup. If you are clueless as of how to combine the different colours, there are hundreds of youtube videos with the most amazing ideas on it (from smoky eyes to a simple everyday makeup to wear to work or college - there's literally everything). Also, if you ever get tired of the brown shades (which I don't think is possible!), UD already came up with a solution: the Naked2 Palette! It is available on the offical onlineshop on the Urban Decay website costs $50.

My favourite colors in the palette are Sidecar, Half Baked, Darkhorse, Hustle and Creep, which I think is perfect to highlight your eyeliner. I also used it for my makeup today. :)

Hope everyone is having a lovely week!
