Think Pink

Long time, no see!
Summer is on its way and I am impatiently waiting for the long, golden days. In the meantime, I find myself wearing not enough layers of clothes, pretending the time for midi skirts, silk dresses and sandals has already come - let me tell you something: It hasn't - and that's totally fine! Every season of the year has its own beauty and we should embrace it. So after one of the just described sunny, but still awfully cold days I love a good old pamper evening. Music (If you haven't already, this is the perfect time to listen to Ed Sheeran's new single "Sing"!) face mask and a bubble bath. Since my Lush Cosmetics addiction might not be news to you, I try to make it short: You can't go wrong with their bath bombs (or anything else for that matter). One of my current favourite products is the "Think Pink" bath bomb with a caramel and vanilla fragrance. The little confetti hearts are the highlight of this little piece of joy - so it's safe to say: I am obsessed. What better way to celebrate the indecisiveness of April's weather gods?

Love,
Franzi

Tell 'em that it's my birthday

A few weeks ago, january 2 to be exact, I celebrated my birthday with a few close friends. I had the most lovely day and couldn't be more thankful for that. Traditionally, I went shopping in the morning with my best friend Sarah and later invited family and other friends over for a cute little birthday dinner at my house. I seriously can't thank you guys enough for making this day so special and making me feel so extremely loved. I've had that big thank you on my mind for over a month now, but couldn't find the time to share it. So thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I love you guys. :) And since so many of you asked me what I got for my birthday, here is a little insight (although, and I'd like to emphasise that, I must say the biggest present for me was having my loved ones around!):

You can never (NEVER!) have too much English tea oder chocolate! I also love the Morocco illustrated book because going to Marrakech in an absolute dream of mine.

'Feed your Face'

I've been a fan of Lush Cosmetics for many years, but never tested their facial masks. So when my lovely friend Theresa gave me the 'Catastrophe Cosmetics' for my birthday, I couldn't wait to give it a try. First of all: It smells delicious! I love the fresh scent that comes with all the Lush products and this face mask is no exception. Some of the incredients are: blueberries, rose absolute, almond oil and chamomile, which helps to calm your skin. Personally, I would recommend this mask if you're looking for something to clear your skin and reduce redness. One little point of criticism for me is that due to the fact that you have to keep it in the fridge, the consistency of the mask is really hard and therefore it is not very easy to apply. Also, it gets a little dry after only a short amount of time on your face. Nonetheless, I highly recommend this mask, as I think it is absolutely worth the price and is a nice addition to a little home pampering day.

January Favourites

1. Naked 2 by Urban Decay
I know this one is getting old - but really, it is just one of the most amazing basic eyeshadow palettes you can think of. Since I have grey/blue eyes, the lighter, beige/pink colours like "Bootycall" are my favourites.

2. Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation
Another hyped product every beauty blogger praises - but is it really worth all the chitchat? HELL YES. Unfortunately this product isn't available in every country, but if you have the chance, I highly recommend buying it. It smells amazing and gives your skin a soft glow - I just absolutely love this product (If you couldn't tell already by my hymn of praise). ;)

2013

2013 was a busy year for me and it feels like yesterday that I posted my summer beauty favourites. Well, it wasn't and half a year has passed since I updated you guys. I can't apologise enough for the lack of posts! To start off the new year, I wanted to share some of my favourite moments of 2013 with you, so you can catch up on what is/was going on in my life. This past year was seriously one of the most amazing years for me and I am beyond thankful for everything. To 2014 and many new memories.
