Beauty in a box

!Hola! I promised you guys a review about this makeup kit and here it is!

I’ve always liked Benefit for its products and the cute design. For my birthday a few weeks ago, one of my friends got me the “Do the bright thing” makeup kit and I tested all the products before giving you guys a review about them. With four (well, five if you count the brush!) tiny little beauty products in total, the box is a great way to test benefit products, if you’ve always wanted to buy, but were never sure if it was worth it. (And I say this because after using the “they’re REAL” mascara for the very first time, I instantly purchased the regular size mascara.)

“that gal brightening face primer”

Although I did like using this, I don’t think I would purchase it by itself. It feels nice on your skin, but I don’t feel like it improves the way my makeup looks or helps in any other way. What I liked about the product though, was the bubble-gum like smell, which I’m sure isn’t for everyone.

“dandelion”

I absolutely love this blush. I’ve purchased the regular sized one before and the colour is just lovely. I prefer it for a day makeup because it’s rather restrained, but with a hint of highlighter it is simply pretty. The blush is tiny, but not bad at all, although I prefer to use one of my real technique brushes to apply this to my cheeks.

“high beam”

EXCUSE ME, but I can’t contain my excitement for this highlighter. Definitely my favourite out of all the four products – glowy, pretty, ugh SO pretty. The perfect finish for a natural makeup look and I love that it looks exactly like a tiny little bottle of nail polish.

“they’re real”

I’ve hear so many YouTubers rant about this mascara and I always wanted to try it myself. Well… they were right. I absolutely love it and would recommend it, especially if you prefer silicone applicators.

Extra black waterproof Eye Pencil

I think this was a nice product to complete the box, but I definitely wouldn’t purchase it. Don’t get me wrong, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it, but I think there are so many drugstore eyeliners that are similar or even a tiny little bit better than this one, that I wouldn’t want to spend more money on it than necessary.
